80mm (3.25") auto-lock CLIP PARIS barrette backs. While not manufactured in France, these French Style barrette backs have the same 1-piece spring that the Superior quality French barrettes are known for! Height, width and curvature are identical to the original French barrette back (or so slight that we can't measure a difference). Made of strong, heavy-gauge S50C Steel (approx. 26ga); spring and back are all one part. Approximately 3mm holes in the top make it easy to rivet or wire-wrap your custom design to the top.

Really good replacement

These are really good! Not quite as sturdy feeling as the old French made, but life goes on, right? Same size, slightly lighter weight. Not sure I would notice they were different if I didn't already know. So far they have held up really well, but time will tell.

Je suis française et habituée depuis de nombreuses années à utiliser les montures 'made in France"pour mes barrettes en cuirs . L'usine française ayant fermé, je désespérais de retrouver cette qualité ( métal solide et sans barre ajoutée ) je suis très contente de la qualité ( avec en plus un trou de 3mm , parfait pour y mettre les rivets . Merci [Translated: I am French and have been used for many years to use 'made in France' frames for my leather bars. The French factory having closed, I was desperate to find this quality (solid metal and no added bar) I am very happy to quality (plus a 3mm hole, perfect for putting rivets in. Thank you]

Pretty good nut some concerns

These are an "ok" replacement, not quite as sturdy but seem to work well. The only thing that I'm concerned about is that since the hinged part is noticeably thinner, the edges are sharp. I'm a little concerned about it causing hair damage so I'm having a friend test it for me. Is anyone having issues?
